Wind energy has great advantages both environmental and economic. Besides the obvious environmental advantages of causing no contamination, a great advantage of wind technology is the little maintenance needed once the wind mills are up. Also, wind mills can normally be located in sites that are normally unsuitable for the construction of any other energy technology.
Wind projects function inversely with hydroelectric projects, making them both highly complementary. Generally, during the rainy season the wind dies down and the time when the winds blow the hardest there is little rain. A country which develops both types of technologies would increase their energy security by being able to generate year round.
At CERSA we bring solutions to the exploration and development of wind farms.
In this area we can offer the following services:
• Preliminary studies of wind energy potential, utilizing national and regional models.
• Site reconnaissance
• Design, installation of wind monitoring study
• Design, Engineering, Procurement and Construction of the wind farm and auxiliary facilities
